Read for the Record Students in grades Pre-K through 1st Grade participated in the "Read for the Record" Project. On October 8, 2009, students read Eric Carle's "The Very Hungry Caterpillar" as part of a event to try to read one book across the world. This year's goal was 1,000,000 (one million) readers. The goal was reached! Thanks Westdale students for being a part of a reading community. Jumpstart "Read for the Record" Pictures from Westdale's Event Fire Safety Week Oct. 5-9 Westdale students learned a lot during Fire Safety Week. They partipated in different activities, looked at exciting websites, and the first grade had a special visitor. Ben the firefighter came by on Monday Oct. 5th to talk to the first graders about fire safety. Pictures from firefighter visit
