to Host Preschool Screening
Purpose:
The purpose of the preschool screenings is to determine eligibility for district
preschool programs and to detect possible disabilities that might affect
learning when your child enters school. Children will be evaluated in the
areas of speech/language development, hearing, vision, motor skills, concept
development, and social development.

Wednesday, June 4th or
Thursday, June 5th
9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m
Who
is Eligible:
Mannheim District 83 Preschool Screenings are open to children who are residents
of District 83. Your child must be 3 years of age on or before 9/1/2008. In addition,
he/she must be toilet-trained.
Appointments:
The free screenings are by appointment only. Appointments for 3, 4,
and 5 year-old children may be made by contacting Mari Rios our
Preschool Parent Coordinator at Westdale School (847) 455-4060.
Results:
Screenings will take approximately 60 minutes per child. Results will be given
to parents and follow-up conferences may be scheduled on an individual basis
as appropriate.
