EOTM Jan 2025

It is with great excitement that we announce Jamie Reinke, Literacy Coach at Mannheim Middle School, as the We83™ Appreciate You Employee of the Month for January!

This month, we celebrated the important attribute of critical thinking, and Jamie exemplifies this trait in every way. Receiving multiple nominations, it’s clear why she has earned this recognition. Jamie is an exceptional critical thinker and a key problem solver for our school community.

Jamie has a remarkable ability to evaluate situations from all perspectives, always prioritizing the best interests of students. Her advocacy extends beyond students to include staff and building personnel, fostering strong, positive relationships that enrich the entire school environment.

In her role, Jamie tackles challenges with innovative solutions and a collaborative mindset. Her partnership with MMS Media Specialist Sam Jost has transformed access to resources and cultivated a culture of collaboration around reading. Through her efforts, all students at MMS have access to a diverse range of books and texts that reflect their reading levels, interests, and needs. Jamie’s work with Bernie Books has further expanded literacy opportunities for students, turning creative ideas into impactful outcomes.

Beyond her impact on students, Jamie has also made significant contributions to adult learning communities at MMS. She equips educators with effective tools and strategies for success, including leading an adult book club focused on the SEL theme of anxiety and its impact on today’s youth. This initiative highlights her commitment to supporting the well-being of both staff and students.

Jamie’s grit, determination, and unwavering positivity make her an invaluable asset to D83 and a cornerstone of success at MMS.
