Good Evening Families. This is Shannon Cribaro, Director of MECC with our weekly message for April 16, 2021

We had a practice lockdown drill this week with our favorite and friendly police officers. All of the staff and students did an amazing job reviewing our lockdown social story and practiced being out of sight of the door way and super quiet.  Everyone did a great job practicing this week

Parents we ask for your help in making sure your child is symptom free and if your child Is sick or is not feelling like themselves please keep them home. The CDC has recently revised Covid symptoms again –

Here is the most recent update A fever of 100.4 or above, Headache, Cough, Sore throat, New loss of taste or smell, Shortness or breath/difficulty breathing, Nausea or vomiting, Fatigue, Muscle or body aches, or Diarrhea. FOR MORE INFORMATION, VISIT CDC.GOV

Just a reminder student are not able to wear a gator mask or a mask with a valve to school.  They must wear a mask that covers and fits properly around their chin, nose and ears.

Last call for the MECC registration paperwork for our returning students for the 21-22 school year.  Registration paperwork for MECC returning students for the 21-22 school year was sent prior to spring break and were due April 6th.  If you haven’t returned your registration paperwork please do so immediately by Friday April 17th - if not your child will be placed on a waiting list and we cannot guarantee a spot for you.  Please drop the registration paperwork off at the MECC in the blue bin outside the office door this week or if your student is Hybrid please send it to school with your child!

We will be holding our last virtual Virtual Preschool screenings For May. Please contact the MECC office for your screening packet.  If your child has a sibling at home between the ages of 2-4 years of age.  A screening must take place to see if your child qualifies for the Pre-K program.  We are filling up spots for the 21-22 school year.
