Good Evening Families. This is Shannon Cribaro, Director of MECC with our weekly message for April 23, 2021
Good afternoon. We have some updated information in regards to the P-EBT card for MECC students. Please read the update from our district business manager, Alicia Cieszykowski. Thank you and sorry for the inconvenience. In going back and forth with the state, it turns out that MECC students do not qualify for the P-EBT card since we do not serve lunch and breakfast (normally). The confusion and why I was told originally that they do is because we are currently under the Summer Seamless program due to COVID and everyone in the community can now pick up our food. They neglected to tell us that the state will use our original qualification status for P-EBT eligibility (all schools that serve food) when I originally asked.
MECC students are not eligible for the P EBT card but K-12 students are.
For more information on the P EBT cards please check the D 83 website
Last week was the Last call for the MECC registration paperwork for our returning students for the 21-22 school year. If you have any questions or concerns please contact the MECC office.
Please be sure to check the Seesaw announcements each week as we have been sharing information, resources etc.
Thank you for your support and partnership.
