Weekly Message - January 17, 2021

Good Evening Parents, this is Tim Daley, Principal of Mannheim Middle School and here are the announcements for the upcoming week:


*There is No School on Monday in observance of the birthday of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.


*All of next week is Kindness Week at Mannheim Middle School.  Students have been provided a schedule of Dress Up Days for the week as well as been invited to participate in submitting photos that exemplify Kindness.  I will post the Dress Up Days on Facebook as well so parents can participate with their children if they so desire.  This is a great opportunity for Mannheim to show each other and the community how we can be kind to each other, even in tough times!

Jan. 18th - No School

Jan. 19th - Sportswear Day -Work as a team against bullying (wear your favorite sports team)

Jan. 20th- Shine w/Kindness Day - Wear yellow or orange and sunglasses

Jan. 21- Superhero Day - Be a super friend (wear your favorite superhero shirt)

Jan. 22- Rainbow Diversity Day- Wear tie dye or several bright colors


*On Tuesday evening, we have our first Parent Cafe of 2021 with the topic of Anxiety.  Our guest speakers will present in English beginning at 6:00 pm and in Spanish at 7:00 pm.  You must register for this free even in order to get the Zoom Link to attend.  Registration information is on Facebook and will be reposted and it will also be sent via email to Mannheim Families.


*On Wednesday, there is an Early Dismissal for Teacher Professional Development.  Student classes will be done at 11:00 am and there will be NO afternoon classes.


*Lastly Parents:  Please remember to take the Parent Survey that was sent to you regarding the Hybrid Learning Model and the Remote Learning Model.  The deadline for taking the survey is this coming Friday at 3:15 pm.
