School resumes at the regular time with the regular schedules beginning Tuesday, April 6th. This week, 6th grade hybrid in-person instruction is Tuesday, 7th grade on Thursday and 8th grade on Friday. Remember, beginning Monday, April 12th, ALL hybrid in-person instruction students will come to school on Mondays for the rest of the year in addition to their regular weekday in-person days. Also, Tuesday is a Spirit Day with the Sports Day theme. Students are encouraged to wear their favorite sports team jerseys, sweatshirts or t-shirts or wear their clothing with their colors.
Parents: State testing will begin on Monday, April 12th. Students that have hybrid in-person instruction will be testing and we ask any parents who have a fully remote student and would like their child to take the State Tests, please call the office this week before Friday at noon to sign your child up. We will let you know about bus service details if you qualify for transportation services.
Parents, remember to take the 5 Essentials Survey (English) 5 Essentials Survey (Spanish) when you have a chance. The link can also be found on the district webpage at www.d83.org.
Lastly 8th grade parents, we are working on details around this year’s graduation activities. We are still bound by the IDPH guidelines and are working to create a different celebration than we had for last year’s event. Details should be out by Friday, April 16th so families can plan and adjust accordingly. Thanks for your patience!
Enjoy the weekend!
