May 2, 2021 Weekly Message

Good Evening Scott Families,

This is Lisa Schaffer, Principal of Scott School, with the weekly message for the week of May 2nd..

Please stay in your car when picking up students. This will make it safe for all students and allow the car line to move efficiently.

The lock-down drill with the Cook County Police Department went very well.  We received an excellent report.  Thank you to the students and staff for following all protocols during the drill.

Parents, registration packets were mailed out to everyone for the next school year. Review and return the paperwork in the stamped envelope that is included in the packet. Please return the paperwork as soon as possible to help ensure an easy turnaround to kick off our 2021-2022 school year.

To make sure that your child is placed on a class list for the 2021-2022 school year, you must return your packet by May 24, 2021.  After May 24th, the registration fee goes up from $40 per child to $50 per child.

This week is Staff Appreciation Week. We are grateful for our dedicated educators. They completely rework what teaching looks like, to work tirelessly to connect to students and families and to do it with passion, flexibility and grace shows us how deeply invested they are in teaching and nurturing our 402 students. So, thank you to all of our staff.  We would appreciate it if you could ask your child to make a card or say thank you to a staff member.

Delayed Start, Wednesday, May 19th

End of 4th Quarter/Last Day, Monday, May 24th

Have a great week!
