The C.A.R.E. (Creating a Respectful Environment) Bullying Prevention Program works with interventions at three levels: school-wide, classroom, and individual. Classroom teachers incorporate classroom meetings into the weekly schedule for up to 40 minutes. The classroom meetings provide a community building environment within the classroom, while students become educated about bullying and peer relationship. The program is rooted in four district-wide rules:
Our School's Anti-Bullying Rules
- We will not bully other.
- We will try to help students who are bullied.
- We will try to include students who are left out.
- If we know that somebody is being bullied, we will tell an adult at school and an adult at home.
