Disguise a gingerbread person contest papers are coming home this week! Students have until 12/8 to disguise their gingerbread person as a book character. Teachers & Staff will vote. The top 3 winners will receive a 4 pack of Brookfield Zoo tickets!

Our 4th graders have been working hard on building chariots to be driven by the Sphero robot for our annual Chariot Challenge. To our students and families, great job completing your Book Blast Treasure Maps - enjoy your fun rewards! We will celebrate soon with all the books heading our way. This month and over Thanksgiving Break, students have some reading challenges to complete. The Fall Break Reading Challenge will go home Monday 11/20 or Tuesday 11/21 and students must do 10+ activities and have it signed by an adult and turned in by Dec. 1. This will earn them a chance to win a family 4 pack of tickets to Brookfield Zoo. We have 3 sets of passes to raffle off. Students who return their log by Dec. 1 have a chance to win. The November calendar with the cats on it that says "Book It" is for students to read 20 minutes each night during November and turn it in on Dec. 1 to earn a coupon for a free personal pizza. Everyone who completes this will get a pizza coupon. Happy Reading!

4th and 5th graders in Book Quest completed their first competition this week! Congrats to our teams! This is the highest scoring round in a long time! Way to go Roy Readers!
