Parents across Illinois once again have an opportunity to participate in the annual statewide Illinois 5Essentials Survey. This survey is designed to generate a detailed picture of your child’s school as it relates to the important elements of school effectiveness.
On behalf of the Illinois State Board of Education, the Illinois 5Essentials Survey is administered online by the University of Chicago. All survey responses will be kept confidential. The state will provide survey results for individual schools only if a school has at least 20 percent of parents take the survey. If you have children attending more than one school, we ask that you complete the survey for each school.
To take this short survey:
1. Visit 5 Essentials Survey Link -

2. Type and select “Cook” as "County." (The county is the location of the school district's main office.)
3. Type "Roy" for the school's name
Calling 3rd, 4th and 5th grade girls ! Come and join Girls on the Run to help discover your superpower! Girls do not need to be runners, but do need to be willing to do some physical activity. Practices will be after school and start in March. Girls can register online at gotrchicago.org until March 22nd. Please reach out to Mrs. Loeza, Ms. Diaz or Ms. Rebolledo if you would like more information on joining.

Students create a coupon to give to anyone of their choice.

Students learned about the kids heart challenge fundraiser for the American Heart Association today! Look for the fliers coming home with information and how the students can earn fun prizes!
Thursday, 1/19, is Kindness to the Rescue- Be a super friend (wear your favorite superhero shirt)! Students will make cards for nurses, doctors, senior citizens, and/or patients. Cards will be delivered to Ascension Living Casa Scalabrini Village & Kindred Hospital.
Mark your calendars & come out and support PTA on Wednesday, 1/25 at Firehouse Subs in Stone Park. 15% of the proceeds of sales between 10:30am - 8:00pm will be donated to our PTA.
