We have some fun events at Roy to celebrate this week! Kicking off one school one book (Stella Diaz Has Something To Say), author visits Tuesday (K-2) and Wednesday(3-5), and drop everything and read day on Friday! Happy National Library Week and happy reading!
Students will be bringing home a copy of Stella Diaz Has Something to Say. There is one copy per family to read together for our One School, One Book program. It officially starts on Monday, but we are starting to pass the books and schedules out this week. Each week there will be a quiz with 3 questions to answer to win prizes. With the book, students will have a bookmark with the reading schedule on it. Teachers may read the book aloud to classes, but the goal this year is to read as a family at home. We hope you enjoy it! Look for more information coming soon about a family celebration when we finish the book in May. Happy reading!

We had a large amount of families sign up for movie night & because of that we closed the RSVP forms due to number of participants & amount of donated items. In the future we plan to have another movie night. We will have an ice cream social soon, and have a RSVP closing date for that.
