The silhouette of the bull has its profile with "Hollywood" written on its side and is surrounded by festive elements, including a movie camera, a red graduation cap with a diploma, and a clapperboard reading "Mannheim School District 83 Action!" Red text at the bottom displays the inspiring slogan: "Lights, Camera, Action - Lights On Learning, Camera on Creativity, Action Toward Excellence!"
Huge shoutout to District 83 administrators and teacher leaders! 🧠 We just wrapped up an incredible Emotional Intelligence Leadership Summit at Yale Univ., led by @marcbrackett. Excited to bring these insights back to our district! #EmotionalIntelligence #LeadershipDevelopment

Happy Summer Break Roy Families!!! NEW IMPORTANT 2025-2026 UPDATE: For the 2025-2026 school year, Wednesday start time has changed from 10:25 am to 10:20 am. Instruction will start promptly at 10:30 am. This change is being reflected across all Mannheim District 83 scheduling documents and shared with families as part of our district-wide communication. https://docs.google.com/document/d/1r6vj1HsGEuwTUecNzTPUEca-AJbPvfTE/edit?tab=t.0 The reason for this change is due to the number of students entering our building and making sure they have enough time to get to class without feeling stressed or overwhelmed. Same goes for our parents and guardians. We don’t want you feeling stressed or overwhelmed as well since we know mornings can be hectic during arrival. Thank you for your understanding. Now that our new 2025-2026 Mannheim District 83 weekly schedule has been released, I want to make sure our families are starting to have conversations with their family members, friends, and employers regarding the weekly Delayed Starts every Wednesday at 10:20 am throughout the school year. It’s very important right now to start making the necessary arrangements for students’ wellbeing and care on Wednesdays until arrival at 10:20 am. To support you with this transition, Mannheim District 83 is offering before school student care from 8:45 am to 10:20 am. Please click on the link below to find out more information about this fantastic opportunity. https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSfglEnjrlKnVzs58qTFY6sj2sFV1fUj1rglQHp1hK45MGfzBg/viewform We realize this is going to be a big shift for our families but it also presents a chance to create routines that promote student well-being and academic readiness. By being proactive now instead of waiting until August, we can ease any anxiety or worry. If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to reachout to me directly. Respectfully, Joe Stanislao Principal Roy School

Dear Roy Families, As we come to the end of the 2024-2025 school year, we want to take a moment to reflect on the growth, achievements, and joyful moments we've shared together. This year has been filled with learning, laughter, and a strong sense of community. From the first day of school to the final bell, your children have amazed us with their curiosity, resilience, and kindness. Whether it was mastering new math skills, exploring exciting science experiments, or growing friendships on the playground, every student has made progress worth celebrating. We are incredibly grateful for the support and partnership of our families. Your encouragement at home, involvement in school events, and communication with our teachers have made a world of difference. Together, we have created a nurturing and inspiring environment for our young learners to thrive. As summer begins, we encourage you to take time to rest, explore, and enjoy special moments with your children. Keep reading together, asking questions, and nurturing their natural love of learning. We look forward to welcoming you back for the 2025-2026 school year where our theme will be, “Lights, Camera, Action - Lights On Learning, Camera on Creativity, Action Toward Excellence!" Until then, have a safe, relaxing, and joyful summer break! Sincerely, Joe Stanislao and Jorge Hervas
