This could be your favorite country that you are rooting for or even your local team you play on. Whatever you choose, be sure to wear it with pride tomorrow!

Tonight, 11/16 is Mini Mannheim's Open House from 4:30-6:00pm. This event is for all families in D83 with babies or toddlers. Please park on the blacktop by the playground and enter through door 20. Learn about language and development for future success in school, get a free toy, and there will even be a play area for the babies and toddlers. Call the office with any questions.

The Raging Roy Bulls Basketball Team played against Roy teachers today. The teachers were victorious, but it was a close game and well played by both teams!
3rd graders are starting their preparations for their own Thanksgiving Day parade based on the book they read, Balloons Over Broadway. Videos will be coming soon! #RoyBulls #d83shines
Thanks to our student council for organizing a great Veterans' Day assembly! Happy Veterans' Day to all the veterans in our community and their families. We want to show our appreciation to any active military members as well!
There will be no school on Friday, November 11, in observance of Veterans' Day.
Congratulations to our 4th and 5th graders who participated in Book Quest! Today was the first competition! After round 1, Team 6 is in 1st place with 20 points, Team 2 is in 2nd place with 19 points, and Team 1&8 are tied for 3rd place with 15 points. Way to go Roy Readers!
Thursday, November 10, 2022 is a Roy Red, White, and Blue Day to show our support and thanks to all the veterans in our country! Students can wear a red, white, or blue shirt or sweatshirt but still need to wear their uniform pants.
There is no school on Tuesday, November 8 in observance of Election Day.

From now until November 9th the Roy School student council will be collecting items for veterans who reside in the Concord Place Retirement Community in Northlake. Comfort items include small or travel size shampoo, shaving cream, toothpaste deodorant, hand lotion Chapstick, toothbrush, combs, Crossword or Word-find books. These will be presented to veterans from the Northlake American Legion during our Veterans' Day program, who will include them as part of their annual gift bag event.
Desde ahora hasta el 9 de noviembre el consejo estudiantil de la escuela Roy recolectará artículos para los veteranos que residen en la comunidad de jubilados de Concord Place en Northlake. Los artículos de comodidad incluyen champú pequeño o tamaño de viaje, crema de afeitar, desodorante de pasta de dientes, loción para manos, lápiz labial, cepillo de dientes, peines, crucigramas o libros de búsqueda de palabras.
