Morning Roy Families! Happy Halloween! Due to the rainy weather, today's parade will be inside the main gym today. Parents, guardians, and family members wanting to see the parade can enter the building at 10:30 a.m. through door #1 and then proceed to the big gym. Today, Monday, October 31 is our Halloween celebration! Parents may watch the parade at 10:45am in front of the school. If it rains or is too cold, the parade will be indoors, and parents may watch in the big gym. If this happens, please enter door 1 by the office. Hello Roy Families! We are excited to announce Dr. Sandra Gonzalez as our interim Assistant Principal for the remainder of the 2022-2023. Dr. Gonzalez has extensive leadership experience, currently serving as an Assistant Professor at National Louis University in the Teacher Experience Program. She also has experience as an Assistant Principal and Director of Bilingual Education, Director of Dual Language and English Language Learners, English Language Curriculum Coordinator, and as a Bilingual Teacher. Dr. Gonzalez will be working at Roy three days a week, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday. Welcome to Roy School and Mannheim District 83 Dr. Gonzalez! ¡Hola familias Roy! Nos complace anunciar a la Dra. Sandra González como nuestra Subdirectora interina para el resto del 2022-2023. El Dr. González tiene una amplia experiencia en liderazgo y actualmente se desempeña como profesor asistente en la Universidad Nacional Louis en el Programa de experiencia docente. También tiene experiencia como Subdirectora y Directora de Educación Bilingüe, Directora de Lenguaje Dual y Aprendices del Idioma Inglés, Coordinadora del Plan de Estudios del Idioma Inglés y como Maestra Bilingüe. Morning Roy Families! Just an update regarding Halloween costumes. No inflatable costumes. They are to big, can block the view of students in the classroom, and the fan noise is distracting. Students riding the bus today will get picked up at their bus stops between 10:05 a.m. and 10:10 a.m. Thank you! Hi Roy Families! Don't forget, today, Wednesday, October 19, 2022 is Delayed Start at 10:30 a.m. Students can start entering the building at 10:15 a.m. Breakfast will not be served so please make sure students have breakfast before coming to school today. Also, temperatures are dropping each day now so please make sure all students wear a fall/winter jacket. Students will go outside for recess unless it's below 15 degrees with the windchill and or inclement weather. Thank you!!
