Welcome to Mannheim Early Childhood Center
At the MECC, we have a Preschool for All Program, as well as an Early Childhood Special Education Program. Our curriculum is a play based curriculum, which means you will see the students interacting in their natural environment. Preschool helps children develop the social, emotional, and pre-academic skills they need to succeed in school and in life.

What is Preschool for All?
Preschool for all is a high quality two and half hour program that brings together qualified staff, a proven curriculum and parent involvement to help prepare children for success in school.

Is my child ready for preschool?
YES! Preschool for All helps children develop the skills they need to succeed in school and later in life.

Would my child be eligible?
Screenings are provided to children whose parents have concerns about their development. Three, four and five year old children (who have not entered kindergarten) are eligible for a screening. Students qualify for the program based upon their age and screening results.

When can I have my child screened?
Screenings are provided monthly to residents of District 83. Please call the Mannheim Early Childhood Center office at 847-455-3611.

Are there opportunities for parent involvement?
YES! Throughout the year, there are a variety of parent involvement opportunities such as volunteering in your child’s classroom, attending playgroups, field trips and parent education workshops.

What is the cost?
There are no fees for screening or for the Preschool for all Program.

What if I have more questions?
If you have more questions, please contact the Mannheim Early Childhood Center at 847-455-3611.
