Fortigate Content Filter

With Fortigate, override the content filter to access staff-approved sites (like social media and video streaming). Staff only need to override once a day (or once every 11 hours) on their staff computer.

Instructions:

  • Click on Override.

  • Sign in with Active Directory account (the one staff uses to sign into a computer or print).

  • Override remains active for 11 hours on this computer, after which staff needs to sign in again.

  • No tab needs to stay open.

Special notes:

  • Not all block pages will show the override option.

  • If a website is missing the override option, you may recommend the site be made available by submitting a request.

  • If the content being blocked is embedded in another webpage (like a video, for example), it may not show the block page to let you override. If this happens, go to any staff-only site, like Pandora, to let you override for the next 11 hours.
